Our annual David M. Wilson Memorial Farmers' Night concert is scheduled for Wednesday, January 19, in the Legislative Chambers at the State House in Montpelier. This concert is free and open to the public, but arrive early as we tend to fill every seat in the room. The concert is at 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 6:45 p.m. Music Director Jaime Laredo and VSO concertmaster Katherine Winterstein are the soloists for Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Violins in a minor; principal bassoonist Janet Polk takes the spotlight in Burrill Phillips’ jazzy Concert Piece; and a second Vivaldi double concerto features cellist Dieuwke Davydov and her star student, Joshua Morris, a high school senior from St. Albans. The performance concludes with Mozart’s ever-popular Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. Check back for program notes about this charming evening of music.
